Maria Candida Gentile - Barry Lyndon
In the wide and enchanting meadows of the Val d’Aosta, Maria Candida feels the presence of Barry Lyndon. The character portrayed by Ryan O’Neal in the movie of Stanley Kubrick, turns into the scented and dreamed man by his creator. The steps of the young Barry echo in the mist through the paths covered with the heather and the peat. Scents of fresh leather of his saddle mixes in the air with the dust of the flowers. It is an harmony, a vibration which I felt when walking in the pure mountains air in the Italian Alps. We are in the Age of Enlightenment, in the 18th century A.C., when extreme sensuality meets refinement.
