The Story of the Brand
Maison Incens is a family house with its own story: the scents are inspired by the inhabitants of Artganis, an imaginary planet where rituals with incense, fire and smoke foretell the future. Father Jean-Claude Gigodot has been composing perfumes for over fifty years, his son Eric works alongside him. They use many natural raw materials, such as incense from Somalia, labdanum from Spain and sandalwood from New Caledonia, and refine their compositions with animalic accords such as musk and ambergris.
The Signature of the House
Recognisable are the rich, warm compositions with incense and wood, the animalic depth and the double ii in the names.
