L'Oudh

Inspiration
L'Oudh follows no classic pyramid. Everything circles one accord: natural oud from Laos, untamed, together with cypriol. Wood, resins, smoke and a dark balsamic depth carry it. Vetiver, patchouli, myrrh, cistus and sandalwood support it, musk and ambergris add animal warmth. Andy Tauer deliberately kept it far from the polished oud you come across so often.

Honesty first: the opening minutes of L'Oudh are not for everyone. The oud smells the way it does in nature, wild and slightly stable-like. Those who persist notice how cypriol and myrrh give it a smoky, almost balm-like side after half an hour. By the afternoon the sandalwood is creamy and the musk feels like warm skin. It lasts long and stays close to you. It is made for cold evenings and for moments when you want to smell something real. For the connoisseur who already knows oud from the Middle East and is tired of sweetness.
