Inspiration
Le Chypre du Nil honours the eternal river that shaped Egypt. Perfumer Alexandra Carlin took the classic chypre, with its bergamot and patchouli, and gave it a sunny, eastern colour with dried fruits, rose and warm amber.

The Signature of Le Chypre du Nil
Bergamot, elemi, wormwood and Sichuan pepper open tingling and lightly resinous. Damask rose, iris and dried fruits make the heart rich and softly powdery. Patchouli, amber and suede provide a warm, lasting base.

Le Chypre du Nil is, to us, a modern chypre with character. The Sichuan pepper tingles in the first minutes, after which the rose and dried fruit form a warm, almost jammy layer. Towards evening it is mostly patchouli and suede you smell, dry and refined. We wear it in autumn, to the office and to dinner. For those who love the chypre tradition but want something warmer.
