Inspiration
In Greek mythology, Iris was the messenger of the gods and the rainbow her scarf. Atelier des Ors drew on that goddess for Iris Fauve, a powdery yet wild interpretation of the iris flower. The word fauve refers to something wild and animal, giving the scent an untamed character.

The Signature of Iris Fauve
Bergamot, cinnamon and orris open powdery and slightly spicy. Then patchouli, Haitian vetiver and cypriol take the middle, woody and earthy. Myrrh, cistus and musk wrap the skin in a soft, elegant veil. The cinnamon and myrrh make this iris warmer than the classic cool version.

Iris is often cool and aloof, but this one has claws. The cinnamon warms the powdery root straight away, and once the vetiver enters it turns earthy and woody, almost like damp forest floor. The myrrh and cistus lay a resinous veil over it towards the end that lasts into the evening. It has backbone without losing its refinement. Lovely at the office in October, at a vernissage or a dinner with friends. Iris fans who dare to go a little darker and bolder will embrace it.
