Inspiration
Garuda, the Lord of Birds who accompanies Vishnu and Krishna, is inspired by the grandeur of Angkor. At sunset, the gallery of Angkor Wat bathes in light and its dozens of Garuda statues seem covered in gold. The whole composition is built around that gold.

The Signature of Garuda
Fruit and spice, especially pink pepper and cumin, portray the cool side of the metal. Saffron and rum bring warmth, carried by a dominant accord of pure Cambodian oud, before patchouli, vetiver, Cashmeran and amber anchor the scent.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
For us, Garuda captures exactly what makes niche perfumery special: a opulent, golden scent with a clear signature. On the skin the scent opens with bergamot and orange, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then Cambodian oud and saffron take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into patchouli and timbersilk, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best on autumn and winter evenings, for a special occasion. A scent for lovers of oud with a warm, spicy sheen.
