Escentric 04

Inspiration
Escentric 04 is an ode to the futuristic freshness of Javanol, a sheer sandalwood molecule that has the radiance and endurance of natural sandalwood yet is transparent like no sandalwood in nature. The house calls Javanol "the wildest" molecule of them all. Geza Schoen compares it to truffle: "In the other Escentric fragrances, I used a huge amount of the Molecule. But Javanol is like truffles, and a few slices of truffle shaved on top of your pasta are enough to transport you to heaven." Escentric 04 is an award-winning fragrance.

The Signature of Escentric 04
The opening is crisp and gently bitter, with pink grapefruit peel and a zest of lime. Juniper and pink pepper add an extra shot of freshness, while the green edge of marijuana brings out the softer quality of the grapefruit pith. Orris sits at the heart, accompanied by a "fresh soft rose" composed of four different rose ingredients. The drydown is balsamic and woody: Javanol mingles with Polysantol, a slightly sweeter sandalwood molecule; together they make up 15% of the composition. Aromatic, pink and unusual, but never kitsch, with a silvery freshness that lingers.

To us, Escentric 04 is proof that sandalwood can also be light and bright. The grapefruit is distinctive, the rose and orris keep it elegant, and the base remains transparent. A fresh woody fragrance with its own slightly unconventional sheen.
