Escentric 01

Inspiration
Escentric 01 celebrates the hyper-abstraction of Iso E Super, a molecule that does not exist in nature and was created in an IFF laboratory in 1973. It hovers close to the skin, creating an indefinable aura around the wearer. Geza Schoen created Escentric 01 as an invitation to defy convention: "I wanted to create something unconventional, not too perfumistic, something for my friends who said they didn't like fragrance." In his own words, it is the scent he would want to wear himself.

The Signature of Escentric 01
Iso E Super makes up 65% of the composition, within a tight formula of just eighteen ingredients. At that concentration the effect is as magnetic and cocooning as in Molecule 01, yet here the other notes bring out the fresh and sensual sides of the molecule. Lime peel and pink pepper open bright and gently prickling, while aldehydes add sheen. In the heart, orris and hedione, the green jasmine bud, bring a powdery transparency. Incense, mastic and musk form a balsamic base that stays on the skin for a long time. Every wearer experiences it slightly differently, as Iso E Super melds with the skin's own scent.

To us, Escentric 01 is the most recognisable bridge between the pure molecule and a complete composition. The citrus and pepper give a fresh start, after which it becomes soft, woody and personal. A fragrance that stays close to the skin and reveals itself mostly up close.
