Inspiration
In the nineteenth century eau de cologne became wildly popular, partly thanks to Napoleon. British officers in India sought coolness and discovered vetiver, a fragrant little root the maharajas used to keep their palaces cool. So began the fashion for fresh vetiver. Nicolas de Barry drew inspiration from the olfactory world of the viziers.

The Signature of Eau du Vizir
Lemon, bergamot and orange open bright and cool. Green notes and vetiver give a warm, earthy contrast. Sandalwood and musk bring power and an exotic depth to this distinguished cologne. Vetiver is a root with a dry, green and slightly smoky scent. Alongside citrus it acts as a cooling anchor, which has made it a favourite in fresh fragrances since the nineteenth century.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Eau du Vizir is the cologne for those who want more than just lemon. The vetiver gives it a green, lightly smoky backbone, and the sandalwood keeps it on skin for longer. It feels groomed and timeless, like a tailored white shirt. We find it delightful on warm days and at the office. A quiet favourite among our regular customers.
