Dryad feels like wandering through an ancient forest where beams of light filter through towering canopies and damp earth, resins and wild flowers slowly awaken beneath the rhythm of the seasons. Papillon Artisan Perfumes does not create a simple green fragrance here but an entire olfactory landscape where nature, mythology and classical perfumery merge into something exceptionally refined.

The name refers to the Dryads of Greek mythology, tree spirits whose lives were bound to the soul of the forest. That spiritual connection to bark, roots, leaves and earth forms the heart of this creation. Dryad does not smell like a perfume about a forest. It feels as though the forest itself is breathing through the fragrance.

From the very first moments the scent opens with an explosion of emerald galbanum. Its vivid green sharpness feels alive and almost electric, like newly opened leaves after rainfall. Cedrat introduces subtle citrus brightness that allows light to move through the composition without disturbing its natural depth.

Gradually narcissus unfolds among the greenery. Not as a soft floral but as a wild slightly earthy narcissus with an elegant hay like character. Jonquil introduces a golden floral glow that slowly warms the composition.

Beneath this green landscape grows a deep foundation of oakmoss and vetiver. The oakmoss feels damp, mineral and forest like while vetiver introduces dry rooty structure that anchors the fragrance into the earth. Benzoin finally adds soft amber warmth that feels like sunlight filtering through branches.
