Classic Patchouli Balmy

Classic Patchouli Balmy is a soft, balmy version of the black patchouli. It is made traditionally in small batches at a small factory in Grasse, and given time to mature at length. After the bergamot comes the black patchouli; tonka, vanilla and sandalwood warm the base.

Next to the classic patchouli, Balmy smells like a gentler sister. You can almost sense the long maturation in Grasse: all edges are gone, the patchouli has become round and balmy, with a sultry warmth that relaxes at once. We find it stays closer to the skin than the original, more intimate and softer. Vanilla and tonka come forward sooner, making it very comforting. Ideal for those who like patchouli but prefer wearing something tender. We use it as a cosy evening scent, under a blanket on the sofa, or for a quiet dinner for two.
