This small 10 ml bottle holds the scent with which Von Eusersdorff began, after an old recipe the family treasured. Bergamot gives a brief, bright opening. Warm black patchouli is the beating heart. Sandalwood, tonka and vanilla leave a rich, woody trail.

A 10 ml bottle is the perfect introduction to this house, because this is where it all began. The bergamot is brief, and then it is all about the patchouli: not hippie-ish or musty, but warm and glossy, almost chocolatey. We admire how vanilla and tonka round it without letting it turn sweet. A few drops suffice for a whole day. We like tossing it in our bag for a weekend away, or giving it to someone we want to introduce to patchouli. Once a fan, many move on to the large bottle.
