Inspiration
The muse for Bengale Rouge is Mimi, perfumer Liz Moores' Bengal cat. Captivated by the beauty of her fur, Liz did not create a literal interpretation but a reimagining of the notes that lay upon her leopard coat. She deliberately moved away from dramatic, feral notes towards domestic cosiness: the warmth and comfort a pet brings, with a touch of the exotic origins of the Bengal cat.

The Signature of Bengale Rouge
Warm golden fur, swathed in sandalwood and doused in honey. Sweet myrrh purrs behind a sensuous, rosy skin, while a gourmand heart gives a cosy, caramel glow and tonka lends the scent an opulent softness.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
We see Bengale Rouge as a scent for those who love warm, enveloping perfumes with a story. On the skin we notice how sandalwood sets the tone in the first hour, after which Turkish rose and honey slowly come forward. After several hours mainly vanilla and sweet myrrh remain, close to the skin and ever more personal. We like to wear it best in autumn and winter, at home and on cool evenings. A scent for those seeking comfort in a warm, soft amber scent with character.

Warm, soft and addictive! It instantly reminds me of my Bengal cat Agrippina - her honey-coloured fur and the warmth of her body. Beautifully crafted and completely captivating ♥️
