Inspiration
Aqua Sextius refers to Sextius, the Roman consul who founded Aix-en-Provence, the city of a hundred fountains and the home town of Jul et Mad. On a summer evening, on a little square framed by ochre façades, friends celebrate love while a soft breeze carries the scent of pine forests and the Sainte-Victoire.

Aqua Sextius moves us with its balance between bergamot and labdanum: refined, without ever becoming loud. On the skin the scent opens with bergamot and lime, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then mint and marine notes take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into labdanum and ambergris, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best in spring and summer, during the day and on holiday. A scent for those seeking a fresh Mediterranean scent with depth.
