White Rice

Inspiration
White Rice is a tribute to white jasmine rice, in Vietnam the cultural symbol of livelihood. Present at almost every meal, the humble bowl of rice has fed generations. The scent is meant as a skin scent: subtly sweet, soft and with the nuttiness of the rice grain.

The Signature of White Rice
To emphasise the sweetness of rice, its creators added milky and floral notes such as pandan, jasmine and white musk. Unlike the shapeless softness of candyfloss, a rice grain has structure, underlined here by nutty orris and woody tones.

White Rice is the scent with which d'Annam made its name, and we understand why. It smells of a pot of freshly steamed rice, warm and comforting, with a breath of pandan giving a green, vanilla-like sweetness. It is not a loud scent, rather a second skin worn close all day. We notice clients often buy it blind after smelling it once on a friend. A scent of home, simple yet refined.
