Inspiration
Voluptuous Oud is an opulent interpretation of oud, part of the Essentials series around the great raw materials. Francesca Bianchi wanted a warm, comforting experience with the dirty, animalic intensity of oud, like a magical realm of abundance, akin to the sweet, exuberant pastries of the Middle East. This oud, too, is made without animal materials.

Bergamot and green mandarin open fresh and green. Heliotropin and plum make the heart soft, almond-like and fruity, and Cambodian oud, leather, vetiver, tolu balsam and caramel form a dark, sweet base.

Voluptuous Oud is oud as dessert, and we mean that as high praise. The plum and caramel smell of baklava and dried fruit, and the Cambodian oud adds a smoky, faintly animalic gravity. That it works entirely without animal ingredients impresses us. It is warm, comforting and very seductive on cold evenings. For lovers of sweet oud an absolute must.
