When Mathieu Nardin read “the sun also rises” by Ernest Hemmingway, he immediately wanted to traduce the olfactive
memory he had of an early morning stroll at the Luxembourg garden in Paris.
As the sun's first rays caressed the leaves of the horse-chestnut trees that graced the garden's pathways, their delicate
white blossoms glistened like pearls in the soft morning light. The perfumer was captivated by the enchanting scent
of these blossoms, an exquisite blend of floral & nutty sweetness. Tobacco volutes from the cafés nearby, along with
bewitching notes of elegant Parisians' leather bags crossing the garden, create the final touch of a colourful
effervescence.
