Inspiration

According to Lootah, Silky Oud is elegantly woven around the timeless essence of oud, with a sweet aroma enriched with wood, cinnamon and vanilla. It is the softest interpretation in The Oud Collection, the line in which the house honours the Emirati heritage of oud.

The bottle fades from black into a warm amber brown, like silk catching the light.

The Signature of Silky Oud

The opening is aromatic and fresh: lavender, lemon and mugwort, a herb with a bitter, slightly camphorous greenness. It is a surprisingly bright beginning for an oud fragrance.

The heart is a rich palette of spices and herbs: pink pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and cumin for warmth, clary sage and tarragon for a green, slightly anise-like freshness. Cumin adds a soft, skin-like warmth that binds the spices together.

The base of musk, vanilla, cedarwood, dry wood and tonka bean is soft and silky. Here lies the promise of the name: all the herbs dissolve into a smooth, warm, gently sweet woodiness.
