Shangri La

Inspiration
Shangri La is named after the mythical Himalayan paradise of James Hilton's 1933 novel Lost Horizon: an earthly paradise isolated from the world. Hiram Green translated that beauty and purity into a contemporary chypre of fruits, flowers and oakmoss. After production stopped in 2018, the scent now returns in an updated edition.

In our salon, Shangri La stands out for its interplay of floral notes and oakmoss: elegant and full of nuance. On the skin the scent opens with citrus and fruits, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then floral notes takes over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into oakmoss and woody notes, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best all year round, during the day and at the office. A scent for lovers of classic chypres with a modern sheen.
