Salalah is a tribute to one of Oman’s historic frankincense cities, interpreted by perfumer Julien Rasquinet. It captures the atmosphere of a bustling market where soft fruit sweetness, rose nuances and spices mingle in warm evening air, while the smoke of bakhoor and precious agarwood rises through narrow streets. The opening is gentle yet seductive, built on plum and rose for an instant velvety glow. In the heart, Turkish rose and patchouli turn the scent richer and more enveloping, refined rather than heavy. The drydown lingers with the dark elegance of oud, the cosy resinous comfort of labdanum, and the fresh spicy lift of gurjun, giving the composition a rounded, modern depth with unmistakable Arabic roots.
