Safran

Inspiration
Safran feels like a slow ritual of focus, where red gold meets smoky black. The opening is instantly dry and vibrant: lapsang souchong black tea headspace brings a smoky, almost ink like atmosphere, while galbanum keeps it green and sharply defined. Cardamom and pepper add tension and a subtle, tingling edge. In the heart, saffron turns warm and mineral, softened by mate, olibanum and powdery orris. The drydown settles into a refined, tempered base of leather, velvety osmanthus and earthy patchouli, leaving a textured trail that glows like golden embers on skin.
