I don’t know how I got here. So far ahead of what I know.It’s the year 2057 and everyone is busy meeting in the virtual world. Young people rely on dating aps and virtual interactions, how can this be?
But then, here they are in front of me. An unusual pair which found itself in a wonderful, old fashioned way through the ancient art of perfumery. I landed right between them and can’t wait to share their story. As an aspiring perfumer in search of the unusual she stumbled across an ancient mixture named ‘Royal Bourbon’ while working in her lab.
Curious and intrigued by its composition, she started to blend Cinnamon, Pepper and Ginger. A spicy explosion just like the sparkles that flew when they first met.
She spent weeks trying to perfect the fragrance but was never fully satisfied. There always seemed to be one ingredient missing to create the perfect blend. In need of a creative break, she decided to venture out into the real world. Wearing her trial scent she so desperately wanted to finish, she walked into a bar. The air is filled with the sweet spiciness of Rum mixing nicely with her scent, what a joy!
She turned around and there he was, her prince behind the bar, immediately capturing her heart. With a big smile he says ‘Vanilla with a hint of Caramel’ She looks at him with disbelieve until she understands. This was the missing link!
Now all blends together in perfection, and to herself she thought - ‘the perfume is not the only thing that is complete’
