Rose Oud

Inspiration
Rose and oud are a long-standing couple in Arabian perfumery. Teatro gives them a Florentine reading. Damask rose enters with pink pepper, nutmeg and clove. Myrrh, opoponax, saffron, jasmine and geranium make the heart resinous and warm. Oud, patchouli, sandalwood, cedar and musk form a deep, dark ground.

What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
For us Rose Oud is the warmest piece in the collection. The rose is instantly recognisable, but the spices make it dark and velvety, as if laying a rose petal in a bowl of spices. After an hour the resin rises, myrrh and opoponax, and the skin smells almost like an old church. We find the oud very civilised here: no barnyard, only depth and smoke. It stays in your clothes until the next day, so dose with care. For festive winter evenings, with velvet or cashmere, and for anyone who wants to wear roses with weight.
