The opening is fresh and bright: lemon and bergamot give a pure citrus sheen.
Then comes the heart, and that is where the mystery lies. Rum brings a warm, gently sweet, boozy tone, neroli a honeyed blossom and sage an aromatic, lightly herbal freshness. That combination of spirit, blossom and herb is unusual and gives the fragrance its own tension.
The base is warm and balsamic: benzoin and vanilla for softness, patchouli and dry wood for structure, musk for a skin-like finish.
