Inspiration
For as long as we have been falling in love, we have been making potions to induce that feeling in others: love potions, or philtres. Think of Tristan and Isolde, or Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Philtre is a modern love potion, without unicorn dust or dragon's blood, but with the most beautiful flowers, spices and resins, built around the flower of love: carnation.

Philtre is, for us, a scent that reveals itself slowly, with a bewitching, spicy character that lingers. On the skin the scent opens with flower stems and clove, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then carnation and rose take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into resins and vanilla, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best in autumn and winter, on cool evenings and at dinner. A scent for lovers of carnation, rose and warm spices.
