Patchoulove

Inspiration
The name gives it away: Patchoulove is in love with patchouli. Teatro makes the earthy leaves sweet and warm. Mandarin, davana and sesame seed open fruity and nutty. Vanilla, caramel, labdanum and tonka form a gourmand heart. Patchouli, white musk, sandalwood, cedar, coconut and immortelle lay down a rich, near endless base.

The Signature of Patchoulove
Mandarin with the boozy touch of davana, and toasted sesame. Then caramel and vanilla, stickily warm. Patchouli arrives like dark chocolate below, with a trace of coconut and hay-like immortelle.

Patchouli scares some people off, but Patchoulove has converted plenty of our customers. The sesame in the opening is such an unexpected detail: toasted, nutty, instantly cosy. Then caramel and vanilla arrive and it becomes a little like dessert, though the labdanum keeps it resinous and grown-up. After a few hours it all revolves around the patchouli itself, soft and chocolatey, with coconut tinting it very subtly. It lasts forever, so one or two sprays are enough. We wear it on rainy Sundays and cold evenings, and find it always earns compliments.
