Oud Malinau

Inspiration
Oud Malinau is crafted with wild agarwood from Malinau in Indonesia, sourced from the wild rather than plantations, and therefore rare. Instead of pure alcohol the house uses a vanilla tincture of pods from Papua New Guinea and Madagascar, giving the scent a layered character.

An opening of mimosa and cardamom sets the tone. At the heart, raspberry, beeswax and cinnamon ceylon unfold, before oud malinau, benzoin siam, black pepper and pink pepper give the scent a lasting, warm finish.

In our salon, Oud Malinau stands out for its interplay of raspberry and oud malinau: elegant and full of nuance. On the skin the scent opens with mimosa and cardamom, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then raspberry and beeswax take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into oud malinau and benzoin siam, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best on autumn and winter evenings, for a special occasion. A scent for lovers of wild oud with vanilla.
