Double Caramel is the variant for those who fell in love above all with the caramel in the original Mula Mula. Byron enlarges that element into the main theme and sets an oud from Laos against it. The house's familiar signature is thus reduced to two leading players who challenge each other.

Caramel is both opening and heart here: rich, lightly burnt and butter-soft, with the depth of sugar left in the pan just a little too long. Double Caramel is for the true sweet tooth, yet thanks to the oud it stays grown-up. For the first hours you mainly smell warm caramel; then the wood gradually rises and it becomes drier and darker. On wool and cashmere it lingers for days. We prefer it during the festive season, on a winter evening or at a dinner. Recommended for Mula Mula fans who want to swap the fruit for pure burnt sugar with depth.
