Inspiration
The most minimal fragrance is a single aroma-molecule: Molecule 01. The next most minimal adds 1 to 01. This is Molecule +: the line in which Escentric Molecules pairs Iso E Super, the molecule that turned perfumery upside down, with a single natural ingredient. Molecule 01 + Mandarin consists of Iso E Super and mandarin, a natural extracted from the mandarin orange. According to the house, the M+ line is about the best of the naturals and the best of the artificial, morphing, intermingling and breaking apart to rejoin. "That's unusual for a topnote ingredient like Mandarin and a base note like Iso E Super to dance together naked like this, without other notes coming between them," says Geza Schoen.

The Signature of Molecule 01 + Mandarin
The fragrance tells a story in three acts. In the first, the mandarin hits instantly and all at once, fruity and aromatic. As the effervescent note fades, Iso E Super syncs in during the second act, intermingling with the citrus freshness. In the final scene, the mandarin slowly leaves the stage and Molecule 01 takes the solo. "It may be a dance of two, but the story changes completely from beginning to middle to end," says Geza Schoen. This is the official 30 ml refill: a separate bottle without a case, to carry with you or to fill the Escentric Molecules Portable case.
