Inspiration
The most minimal fragrance is a single aroma-molecule: Molecule 01. The next most minimal adds 1 to 01. This is Molecule +: the line in which Escentric Molecules pairs Iso E Super, the molecule that turned perfumery upside down, with a single natural ingredient. Molecule 01 + Iris consists of Iso E Super and iris, a natural extract from the root of several varieties of iris. "I have had a long-standing love affair with iris. Every Escentric fragrance has an iris note somewhere in there. To me, iris is luxury," says Geza Schoen. "The iris pallida absolue I've used here is one of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery."

Molecule 01 + Iris is the romance between iris absolute and Iso E Super. The seductive quality of Iso E Super plays beautifully against the elegance of the iris; adding anything more would take away from their interplay. Iris is hard to describe, but its impact is undeniable: smell a fragrance without it and then with it, and you instantly recognise the elegant, creamy powderiness that adds depth and an almost physical dimension. The house calls it spring-fresh, sober and ephemeral, with a fantastic sillage.
