Description

Molecule 01 + Guaiac Wood

Inspiration
The most minimal fragrance is a single aroma-molecule: Molecule 01. The next most minimal adds 1 to 01. This is Molecule +: the line in which Escentric Molecules pairs Iso E Super, the molecule that turned perfumery upside down, with a single natural ingredient. Molecule 01 + Guaiac Wood consists of Iso E Super and guaiac wood, an essential oil found in the heartwood of the Bulnesia sarmientoi tree, with a warm, smoky and woody aroma. "Guaiac wood has the smokiness and aromatic quality of a great whisky, together with a creamy warmth. It has a gentle 'cocooning around the fireplace in winter' feel to it," says Geza Schoen.

The Olfactive Composition
Iso E Super, Guaiac Wood

The Signature of Molecule 01 + Guaiac Wood
According to the house, guaiac wood has one of the best drydowns in olfactory alchemy: depth, darkness, something almost grave. The opening holds a touch of volatile rum absolute, which evaporates and gives way to a pas de deux of guaiac wood and Iso E Super. Geza Schoen describes it as "emulsified smoke that melts into the Iso E Super": creamy, warm whisky in winter, while smoke from the fireplace fills the room.

What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Molecule 01 + Guaiac Wood is warm and smoky, yet remarkably soft. We appreciate how the smoke stays creamy and never sharp. A fragrance for long autumn evenings and cold days.
