Mashumaro

Inspiration
Mashumaro is the Japanese word for marshmallow. In Japan the sweet stands for something pure and tender, almost childlike. Unique'e Luxury played with that image of innocence and set a wisp of incense against it, as if someone were toasting marshmallows over a temple fire.

Mashumaro is a hug in a bottle, and we say that with love. The marshmallow is white and airy, yet thanks to the incense it immediately feels more grown-up than you would expect. As the day goes on it grows warmer and nutty with praline, and the cashmere wood keeps everything soft. It clings to clothing for an incredibly long time; we still smell it in a jumper days later. We point to it whenever someone loves sweet scents but wants something of their own, and perfect company for a sofa, a book and a rainy Sunday.
