Maiestus

Inspiration
Maiestus is Latin for majesty, and Almah meant it exactly that way: a scent with the bearing of someone who has nothing to prove. The house built it by nose, layer after layer, using chromatography only to confirm what the brothers already smelled. The result is an oud without the heaviness you sometimes fear with that material.

The Signature of Maiestus
It opens with unexpected freshness: water lily, bergamot and green tea, with cassia as a sweet, cinnamon-like shadow. Carnation and white pepper lend the heart an upright spiciness. In the base lies the Cambodian agarwood, surrounded by patchouli, vetiver, frankincense and benzoin, which make the wood round and balsamic.

For us Maiestus is the elegant side of oud. It starts light and green, and only after half an hour do you notice the agarwood and frankincense taking over, without smoke or sharpness.
