Inspiration
Lü Bu is named after the most feared warrior of the Chinese Empire, son of iron and fire, betrayed by his own and himself traitor to the kingdom. Sora Dora portrays his rebirth in a dense, dark and magnetic scent about sacrifice and memory.
Fragrance Family
Woody and spicy
The Olfactive Composition
Top notes: Clove, gunpowder accord
Heart notes: Burning paper accord, iris, blood accord
Base notes: Black vanilla, Tonka bean, amyris, guaiac wood, almond, cashmere wood, Virginia cedar, Tolu balsam, hot metal accord
The Signature of Lü Bu
Bright, tannic clove and gunpowder open direct, almost metallic. Burning paper, iris and a blood accord form the heart, before black vanilla, tonka, guaiac, cashmere wood, tolu balsam and hot metal let the scent glow on.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
For us, Lü Bu is a scent with a quiet confidence of its own: dark, magnetic and understated. On the skin the scent opens with clove and gunpowder accord, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then burning paper accord and iris take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into black vanilla and Tonka bean, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best on autumn and winter evenings, for a special occasion. A scent for lovers of smoky, dark scents with character.
