Inspiration
Loren shows that Al Ambra can be exuberant too. The house places the scent at the crossroads of two worlds: the sweetness of a modern gourmand and the depth of a leather fragrance. The brand itself describes it as a hybrid, where French gourmand craft meets Arabic depth. Loren is meant for nights out, parties and occasions when a perfume may well be noticed, yet it has enough structure not to drown in sugar. A gold label on cobalt glass gives it a festive, almost jewel-like look.

The Signature of Loren
Loren starts decidedly sweet, with berries and a sugary gloss that brings back the fairground of childhood. Yet beneath that confectionery tone a soft leather note is already waiting, and that contrast is what makes the scent compelling. In the heart apricot brings a fuller, velvety fruitiness, while patchouli adds an earthy undertone that keeps the sweetness in check. The resinous accords contribute warmth and a faint veil of smoke. In the drydown the leather melts into musk and soft woods, and a few light florals make the whole a little airier. The result is sweet leather that feels mischievous rather than heavy.

Within our team, Loren sparks the liveliest conversations, and we mean that in a good way. Lovers of sweetness are won over at once; anyone in doubt should give it a little time. After an hour the candy phase is over and a warm, slightly smoky leather emerges with apricot in the background, and that stage is the one we like best. It clearly has more presence than Black Forest or Dubai Musk, so three to five sprays are plenty. For autumn and winter evenings, a dinner or a party we find it a real success. On a hot summer day in a crowded meeting room we would leave it on the shelf; it is simply too expressive for that.
