Inspiration

According to Lootah, Lava Oud evokes smoky warmth and modern intensity: a warm, smoky oud with a strong, refined presence. The name refers to the glow of something burning from within.

The fragrance belongs to The Oud Collection, in which the house honours the richness of oud with rare, carefully chosen materials. The bottle fades from black into a deep, glowing red.

The Signature of Lava Oud

The opening is direct and full of character: pink pepper adds a dry, bright tingle, leather and patchouli immediately set a dark, earthy tone, and musk makes the whole feel skin-like.

In the heart, it grows warmer. Cardamom brings aromatic spice, kephalis a woody-smoky, slightly leathery nuance, and cade, a smoky oil from juniper wood, evokes the image of smouldering fire. Tonka softens with an almond-like warmth.

The base is broad and deep: oud, sandalwood, guaiacwood and cypriol create a rich woody accord, amber adds glow and praline a soft, gently sweet finish. A smoky composition thus ends in something almost velvety.
