Lao Oud is designed for those who want to experience oud as a precious material, raw and sensual, yet impeccably composed. The opening is surprisingly refined: pink pepper adds instant sparkle and tension, while magnolia brings a creamy floral softness that smooths the intensity. The heart turns richer and darker, with cacao adding a gourmand glow and beeswax wrapping everything in a warm golden texture, as if the scent melts into the skin. Chamomile and cinnamon create a comforting spicy contrast, while Peru balsam deepens the composition with resinous richness. In the base, Laotian oud takes centre stage, supported by coffee, guaiac wood and birch tar for a smoky, slightly leathery nuance. Tonka and vanilla polish the dry down into a velvety, long lasting trail. Lao Oud is bold and layered, yet beautifully wearable if you love deep, luxurious niche scents.
