Inspiration
Dmitry Bortnikoff has visited Laos more than twenty times. For Lao Oud he used a rare oil from that country, scented of honey and blossom with an unmistakable feral depth, paired with Laotian coffee, frangipani and incense: a fragrant walk through Vientiane on the Mekong.

The Signature of Lao Oud
An opening of pink pepper and magnolia sets the tone. At the heart, beeswax, cinnamon, chamomile, Peru balsam and cacao unfold, before oud from laos, Tonka beans, crocodile wood, coffee, oud from india, vanilla, birch tar and guaiac wood give the scent a lasting, warm finish.

We see Lao Oud as a scent for those who love intense, primal perfumes with a story. On the skin the scent opens with pink pepper and magnolia, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then beeswax and cinnamon take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into oud from laos and Tonka beans, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best on autumn and winter evenings, for a special occasion. A scent for lovers of intense, coffee-rich oud.
