The Signature of La Nuit des 300
Perfumer Maurice Roucel thought of the 300 Spartans when he heard the story of the Sacred Band, brothers in arms, and wanted to capture the mix of metal and skin. A light aldehydic note gives the shine of armour at dusk. Lavender and artemisia bring the scent of wild herbs, brightened by a spark of bergamot. Then the warmth arrives: three musks, ambrettolide, ambroxide and muscenone, each add a different skin facet, from fruity-soft to ambery and velvety. Tonka, patchouli and creamy sandalwood round it off into a strong, heroic and very sensual signature.
