Love for Sale

Inspiration
Love for Sale is an exclusive limited edition, created as a thank-you to friends and partners. It began as a unique piece for artist Sands Murray-Wassink when he won the Jeanne Oosting Prize: 'I am not for sale', a tribute to his artistic integrity, with The Lover's Tale as its base and a rose accord. Francesca Bianchi pursued her obsession with leather, fierce and unforgiving, yet with unexpected transparency.

The Signature of Love for Sale
It opens with a thrilling metallic note, sharp as a razor blade, then turns into a sweet, peachy rose, like sticky candies at the bottom of a leather bag. Violet and iris make the heart powdery, after which leather, oakmoss, vetiver and vanilla form a rich, lightly sweet base.

Love for Sale is, for us, a scent that reveals itself slowly, with a sophisticated, extravagant character that lingers. On the skin the scent opens with aldehydes and red berries, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then peach and violet take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into leather and oakmoss, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best in autumn and winter, in the evening and at dinner. A scent for lovers of leather with a sweet, rosy side.
