Inspiration
Kawa is Turkish for coffee, and karda refers to cardamom. The name also echoes Kawaakari, the Japanese word for the glow of a river in the dark. Atelier des Ors brought those images together in an extrait centred on coffee and cardamom, a traditional Middle Eastern pairing.

The Olfactive Composition
Top notes: Green cardamom, santos coffee
Heart notes: Centifolia rose, saffron, Virginia cedar
Base notes: Haitian vetiver
The Signature of Kawa Karda
Green cardamom and Santos coffee open powerfully, with a green sharpness and a roasted depth. Centifolia rose, saffron and Virginia cedar form a warm, slightly leathery heart. Haitian vetiver gives a dry, woody base. The rose softens the coffee and makes it elegant.
What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Kawa Karda smells like a Turkish coffee in a beautiful café. The cardamom and coffee are intense and energetic, the rose and saffron add refinement, and the vetiver leaves a dry, woody trail that lasts. Barely sweet, it stands apart from many coffee scents. Ideal for the morning, a working day or an afternoon of shopping. Anyone who takes their coffee black with cardamom will appreciate it.
