Inspiration
Escapade Gourmande was the first Maison Mataha scent, in 2021. The founding couple sought a dark vanilla they could not find anywhere and worked with Vincent Ricord until the idea of a crème brûlée was exactly right.

The Signature of Escapade Gourmande
Black sugar colours like caramel under the torch. Vanilla and tonka bring warmth, with a hay-like softness. A musk accord lays a velvet layer beneath.

What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
This decant is the ideal introduction to the vanilla that started the whole house. On skin the burnt sugar takes a moment to settle, so give it a quarter of an hour. After that it is dark, warm and grown-up. If you like it, besides the 100 ml there is also the even more intense Grand Cru, with Peru balsam and Bourbon vanilla.
