Maison Mataha began with Escapade Gourmande. The founders missed an intense, dark vanilla in haute parfumerie and had Vincent Ricord refine it until the crisp sugar crust and the warm cream beneath fitted together.

The Signature of Escapade Gourmande
The black sugar is almost bitter, like caramel on the edge. Vanilla absolute is woody and deep, tonka absolute almond-like. The musk keeps it all long-lasting and close to the skin.

For us Escapade Gourmande is a vanilla for connoisseurs. It is not sugary sweet but has a burnt edge that makes it exciting, and the tonka adds a warm hay note. On wool and cashmere it lingers for days. We wear it from October to March. Anyone wanting even more depth will find it in the Grand Cru Absolu, but this original remains our everyday favourite.

Heerlijke vanille geur. Echt een aanrader als je van vanilla parfums houdt. Blijft lang zitten en is geweldig om te layeren. Super blij mee 😍
Mijn vriendin had deze op haar verlanglijstje gezet. En ik moet eerlijk zeggen alhoewel ik geen expert ben op het gebied van parfum dat dit echt gigantisch lekker ruikt. De geur is ook echt sterk en lijkt goed te blijven zitten

Ik kan niet uitleggen hoe vreselijk lekker deze parfum is. Het was zelfs gestolen maar gelukkig had ik nog een extra flesje maar dat zegt al genoeg!

Deze geur werd mij aangeraden door jullie stagiere, dat had ze goed gedaan, want ik had veel geuren geroken, maar ging met deze naar huis, ik blijf maar aan mezelf ruiken, gewoonweg zalig!!

This perfume is so yummy 🤤, smells amazing and has a good lasting power, I mix it with Mancera Aoud Sandroses amazing 🤩 so good would buy Another one for a back up.
