Inspiration
Encens Précieux took shape from Eastern landscapes, where heat shimmers above the sand. Van Cleef & Arpels sought an incense that holds that warmth, and built it with resin, leather and tobacco.

Encens Précieux is for anyone who wants incense that does not smell of church. The pepper makes the opening lively, but it is the pairing of leather and vanilla that makes it special: warm, a little smoky, almost tangible. It is powerful, so we dose carefully, two sprays on the chest. On a winter evening with a glass of whisky it feels entirely at home. A customer once called it 'a fireplace in a bottle', and we agree.
