Inspiration
Encounters is about the fascinating point where East and West meet and difference produces a new language. Francesca Bianchi has always been fascinated by cultural cross-pollination, from pseudo-Arabic scripts in Renaissance paintings to Indo-Islamic architecture. Here two iconic materials meet: iris, symbol of Florence, and oud. No animal-derived ingredients have been used.

The Signature of Encounters
An opening of bergamot, orange, cassis, lavender and coriander sets the tone. At the heart, iris butter, rose, angelica and cinnamon unfold, before ambergris, castoreum, oud, sandalwood, cedarwood, benzoin and Peru balsam give the scent a lasting, warm finish.

We see Encounters as a scent for those who love hedonistic, mysterious perfumes with a story. On the skin the scent opens with bergamot and orange, bright and inviting during the first half hour. Then iris butter and rose take over and the composition reveals its true character. After three to four hours it settles into ambergris and castoreum, a soft, personal finish that lingers well into the day on skin and clothing. We like to wear it best in autumn and winter, in the evening and at dinner. A scent for those who love powdery iris with the depth of oud.
