Description

Dark Vinyl Musk

Inspiration
A record crackling at the first groove: that is how Dark Vinyl Musk begins. BOHOBOCO uses the scent of black vinyl as a metaphor for the beautiful and difficult moments that shape us, and wraps those memories in soft musk. It is among the brand's more introspective compositions, dark yet comforting.

Fragrance Family
Leather and amber

The Olfactive Composition
Top notes: Rose, sandalwood, cistus
Heart notes: Styrax, incense, balsamic notes
Base notes: Musk, amber, labdanum, leather

The Signature of Dark Vinyl Musk
Rose, sandalwood and cistus open restrained and resinous, with a faintly powdery sheen. Styrax, incense and balsamic notes then build a protective, smoky heart, like the warm inside of a record sleeve. Musk, amber, labdanum and leather leave a dark, magnetic trail. You do not smell the vinyl literally but as an atmosphere: smooth, black and slightly dusty.

What our ParfuMaria team thinks of this fragrance
Dark Vinyl Musk is the scent we put on when we close the shop in the evening and leave the music playing a little longer. The rose disappears fairly quickly, after which incense and styrax form a warm blanket that hugs the wearer for the rest of the day. It projects modestly but lasts remarkably long. Wear it to a concert, an evening with a book or simply at home with a record on. It is genderless and appeals mostly to people who enjoy leather and resin without heavy sweetness.
