Deer is a scent with poise. Vanessa Prudent built a very rich opening here: mint and clary sage cool, cumin spicy, pistachio and green coffee surprisingly gourmand. We smell a mountain meadow after a warm day. Once the hay comes forward, it turns sunny and dry, with cedar giving it a straight back. The leather and musk base is soft, almost velvety. Complex yet wearable, changing a little every hour. We like it on clear autumn days, with tweed or a chunky knit. For lovers of hay and tobacco.
