To be honest we were sceptical about the name until we smelled it. There is little sugar in it: this is bitter chocolate with a pinch of ginger and a surprising lavender that gives it air. After an hour you mainly smell coffee and cacao on wood, and somewhere below a wisp of incense. It projects firmly for the first hours and then hangs around like a warm cloud. We wear it on cold days with a thick scarf, and it is a beloved gift for anyone who prefers chocolate to flowers.
