The Story of the Brand
Anyone who has played a game of chess knows that every piece has a temperament of its own. The rook holds its ground, the bishop sees far ahead and the knight leaps where no one expects it. Chase grew from exactly that thought: a perfume house that sees the pieces on the board as ways of carrying yourself.
The collection took three years to develop. Behind it is a founder with more than twenty-five years in the fragrance industry, who treated scent and design as a single idea from the very start. Nothing was hurried; each fragrance was tested and refined until the balance felt right.
Chase is closely linked to the perfume house Oscar London, and the brand itself presents several of its fragrances as creations of Oscar London.
The Signature of the House
At the heart of Chase lies the tension between white and black. Five characters set the stage: the king and his authority, the queen and her freedom, the rook and its resolve, the bishop and its foresight, and the knight with the nerve to take an unexpected path. Each exists in two versions, like two sides of the same personality.
You can sense the same tension in the fragrances. The palette ranges from white flowers, creamy vanilla, soft musk and light woods to tobacco, amber, leather, warm spices and a smoky depth. What all ten share is a modern, self-assured style and a long-lasting presence on the skin.
The bottle is just as distinctive. Every cap is designed as a standalone chess piece and moulded in several stages so that each detail stays crisp. A Chase perfume is something to wear, but also something to display and admire.

Chase does not name its perfumers on its own website. The spotlight stays firmly on the characters and the story of the board.
The range is divided into two lines. The White Collection comprises White King, White Queen, White Rook, White Bishop and White Knight. The Black Collection includes Black King, Black Queen, Black Rook, Black Bishop and Black Knight. Together they make ten fragrances; only the pawn is missing from the board.
