A deep, enveloping song of vanilla rises in the background with an elegant jazz of labdanum, operanide and ambroxan. In the warm atmospheres of the clubs of Beco das Garrafas a new rhythm sounds, It is the summer of 1958 when the Odeon label records on 78 rpm vinyl " Chega de Saudade " in which "saudade" becomes a messenger of love and marks the incipit of Bossa Nova. The exuberance of samba combines with the elegant rhythm of North American jazz until it becomes the iconography of a lifestyle in which joy and energy blend with nostalgia and romance. "Garota de Ipanema" consecrates Bossa Nova to be Musical genre and identity of a people.
